Preschool dropouts

>> Saturday, March 7, 2015

Recently the twins have refused to go to preschool. I'm not sure why...they list various reasons like it's scary, there's too many kids or there's bad guys. They love their teacher and I know all the kids are nice to them and really like them, so I figured something really must be up if they are willing to miss that and want to stay with me. I'm a wanna be teacher deep down so I enjoy teaching them for the most part. It's tricky at times but we're all kind of adjusting. They are in love with science so we have been doing tons of that and it's really fun!!

This was very cool and they spent forever playing with it!
We could not stop exploding things!
Then during winter season week we made snow!

Saturday studies

Elizabeth LOVES to learn! So much so, that today she told me she wants preschool (at home) every day of the week!! So on a Saturday afternoon we did math. I hope her love for learning continues!

Settling

I'm always blogging so late at night when I should be sleeping! Today I just feel overwhelmed with thankfulness. It's been a little over a year since we found out we were pregnant with Parker. The past year has been exciting and filled with a lot of anticipation. And pregnancy always comes with a lot of other unpleasant things as well. We've been through a lot of changes. I've learned it really takes a good year to have a baby, recover from it and adjust to it. Now that he's 4 months I finally feel like we are all getting adjusted! And he is just so dang cute all the time!! I just love him! This sounds so cheesy but there have been countless moments since he was born when there are a million things and people around and he and I look at each other and it's like everything else fades away. I just get caught up and mezmorized by him and it's wonderful...then all of a sudden I'll snap back into reality and realize I was just ignoring all my other kids for a whole minute or two and didn't even know it!

I'm so thankful that he is patiently teaching the other kids to love and share. The twins were so little when Annie was born that it almost feels like they are new to this! And everyone loves him so much that even when they do want my attention and get frustrated they never want him gone, they just want him to go "back in my tummy for a while"! Yesterday morning the kids wanted to eat their breakfast around the "campfire" and they always remember to include Parker in all that they do. It's so sweet! He LOVES them all so much! He loves to watch Mark jump on the couch and bed, he could smile at Elizabeth all day and even though Annie scares him sometimes with her aggressive energy..he still gets excited when she's around. I am so thankful for this season of life!!!
