But I can do whatever I want because today is the last day that I will ever be 28!!!! So there. Take that all you snobby I have to post a picture every time I blog people.
I have never taken the time to think about the age I'm leaving behind, I always focus on the age I'll be turning. This is probably where I should insert something profound and wise but I can't think of anything. However I will make a eulogy for my 28th year. Here we go:
28, you have been a WILD one. In the beginning you freaked me out by reminding me that it had been 10 years since I graduated high school and that left me in a small crisis and very homesick. Despite the homesickness this is the only the second year of my life (besides year # 23 when we were on a mission) that we didn't make it home. Sad. Let's not do that again o.k.? Then we took some really wild trips...remember Vegas? Ya me either. But remember Utah? We miss you Grandma Truman. How could we forget the highlight of our 28th year - JAPAN!! I'm glad that I could experience my first time out of North America with you. It was incredible. Here is where you would say thank you for taking me to Hawaii and letting me relax and making you feel like we really were 18! And our last trip and first time to the South: Texas. One of the rare times that we felt our age this past year by sucking bad at Guitar Hero. Despite you making me look a little older with a few new wrinkles, a little less hair and more of it turning grey I will miss you. So I raise my glass of Diet Dr. Pepper and toast to you 28. Cheers.
