But I can do whatever I want because today is the last day that I will ever be 28!!!! So there. Take that all you snobby I have to post a picture every time I blog people.

I have never taken the time to think about the age I'm leaving behind, I always focus on the age I'll be turning. This is probably where I should insert something profound and wise but I can't think of anything. However I will make a eulogy for my 28th year. Here we go:

28, you have been a WILD one. In the beginning you freaked me out by reminding me that it had been 10 years since I graduated high school and that left me in a small crisis and very homesick. Despite the homesickness this is the only the second year of my life (besides year # 23 when we were on a mission) that we didn't make it home. Sad. Let's not do that again o.k.? Then we took some really wild trips...remember Vegas? Ya me either. But remember Utah? We miss you Grandma Truman. How could we forget the highlight of our 28th year - JAPAN!! I'm glad that I could experience my first time out of North America with you. It was incredible. Here is where you would say thank you for taking me to Hawaii and letting me relax and making you feel like we really were 18! And our last trip and first time to the South: Texas. One of the rare times that we felt our age this past year by sucking bad at Guitar Hero. Despite you making me look a little older with a few new wrinkles, a little less hair and more of it turning grey I will miss you. So I raise my glass of Diet Dr. Pepper and toast to you 28. Cheers.

Cool vs. the uncool

Tonight I volunteered to go to the church and set up a hair booth to help the young women and give them some tips for prom and all that stuff. I'm a little nervous. I turn 29 in a couple days, I'm a little rusty with my updos and what if I'm just not cool enough anymore?! What if I tell them stuff and there just like "o.k. thanks" and then laugh about me behind my back?

On the other hand I keep up with the styles, I'm still in my 20's technically, and last prom season I was an allstar - all the teens wanted to book with me and I was doing photo shoots for local schools... what the past year has done to my confidence level! Come back inner rockstar, come back!!

I need to go spend the next 2 hours picking out the coolest outfit I own, shaving my legs (and applying bronzer to them...hello whitey), painting my nails and repeating the mantra " I am the bomb". Wait, is that uncool? Still cool? Randy says it on American Idol. See what I mean?!

The Weekend.

My brother came with his kids this weekend and we had a long, fun day at the zoo yesterday! We also played at the park, watched movies, watched a little conference and did some hair! We LOVE it when they come, we always have so much fun and we can't wait for them to come again!!!!

We were swinging for hours...or 30 mins., Liam loves it.

Hopefully you can see the orangutan in the window, very cool!
MONKEYS!
Liam just wanted to chase the squirrels and give 'em a "poundin"! It's his daddy's fault, right Karrie?!
