Oh January Part 2.

Here are some more pictures to wrap up January.

Even though Annie is basically done and bored with these bouncers, I can't keep the twins out of them! Every day they climb in and I should probably put them away before they break!

We busted out the puzzle for Annie to sit and play on, she is so happy to have something new!!

And something new to chew on....

A look at our beautiful backyard when it snowed:

We have nothing but protected green belt back there and it was so pretty to see nothing but snow covered trees!

And then we get to this creepy picture! I tried to make a snowman out of donuts and use chocolate for eyes and buttons (because I didn't have the icing I was supposed to use instead because Mark threw it out when cleaning the fridge!)...I thought it would be fun for the kids since they love snowman but Elizabeth didn't want it and Mark just ate the chocolate off and wanted more chocolate! Owell!!

That is until you see this one:

On Monday Mark woke up early from his nap and so while the girls slept he and I colored with markers on napkins. Then I taught him how to use the spray bottle and we sprayed his napkin and watched the colors blend. But what he really wanted to do was color his hand and arm! He wanted to do it but before doing it he looked at me and said 'ya, ya? (as in is this ok?) and I said YES!!! He likes to go in order with the colors when he is drawing and so I let him color on himself with one of each marker and then we moved on.

Then we gave the animals (and Mark's arm) a bath in the sink and I let him add bath a few fizzy bath colors too. We lined them up and they dived (got pushed) in!

Colors and glue!

I introduced the kids to glue, but they didn't get it. Elizabeth didn't even want to play with it! BUT....Mark LOVED sorting the colored pom poms and while he was absorbed into his own world of sorting (he will seriously ignore you while he is in one of these moments, it's kind of awesome, he does it with his lego blocks too)...I tested Elizabeth's colors. They both know them very well and have known them for a few months, but I can rarely get it on video, so there are a few short clips demonstrating it. Enjoy!

Aquarium

Last Saturday we took the kids to the Aquarium for the 1st time!!! Mark wanted to run around and get his energy out, Elizabeth wanted to see fish, fish and more fish (and the baby seal) and Annie was as happy as a clam!!

Mark touched several star fish and was not scared at all, Elizabeth passed:

They loved this room with floor to ceiling fish!

Oh January.

I'm not sure why a couple of these pictures from my phone are the wrong direction...but I also don't have time to figure it out! I tried flipping them around a few times but it didn't help, owell.

Here are some of the random things we did to pass the time in the long month of January.

Mark and Elizabeth would constantly put their socks on their hands and walk around like that. One day Mark went in to see why the two of them had not gone to sleep for their nap and he walked in to see Mark holding up his 2 sock covered hands, it's so funny!

I took the twins to Costco one Saturday morning so that Mark could get some work done around the house while Annie slept. These two devoured an entire hot dog all by themselves! It was their first one. To make it even more gross it was 10:30 am!! Whatever we were happy to people watch and eat hot dogs and smoothies.

Elizabeth LOVES to color!!! She found a pad of paper and went to town!! This kept her busy every day for about 10-20 minutes.

We went to a play date at Alicia's house and Mark found these sunglasses as soon as we got there and wore them the entire time! Sometimes they were just on his forehead though.

We watched some TV and they discovered a new show that they like, Bubble Guppies! When the two of them watch TV they sit as close as possible to each other:

Mark and his Daddy

After our Christmas vacation Little Mark had a hard time living without his Daddy around every day. It was really sad. He would come downstairs in the morning and stand by the front door and scream 'DADDY, DADDY, DADDY' for 10 minutes or so. Full on crying. I have a 2 minute video of it that I was going to post but it's just so sad to watch, I couldn't do it! The only time that he will come to me when his Dad is around is if he has an owie. He will run over saying owie, hurt and want me to kiss it. He doesn't usually cry, just says it in this really cute sad voice! Other than that, he will never come to me. If Mark is making dinner, or holding Annie, or is otherwise disposed and Little Mark is screaming to be picked up he REFUSES to come to me, no matter what I promise him (well I have never tried to lure him with candy, that might work!).

If I try to give Mark a hug, Little Mark will stop whatever he's doing, run over and push us apart saying MOVE, MOVE and stand in the middle of us!! Sometimes I do it just for a laugh, I know, I am such a nice mom!! Now he wakes up every morning and says 'Daddy work?' and I say yes. Mark has started working a different schedule so that he has every other Friday off and that threw the kids for a loop. He usually is the one to go and get them when they wake up on the weekends. I went in there on Sunday morning though to get them and Mark said 'Daddy work?'!! Elizabeth will ask too, and then say car, as in he went to work in his car. I think they say that because when it snowed here, we went to the store in Daddy's car and I think they thought it was pretty cool!

Anyways, here is Mark having a melt down because Daddy is gone:

And Annie was the ONLY one that could get Mark to come down! He went and sat by her and she smiled at him and then he was fine. Just fine. Thank goodness for Annie!!!
