Black Eye

>> Friday, September 23, 2011

Mark got his first black eye on Monday morning...the thing is...well...we have no idea how he got it!!! I went to get him out of his crib in the morning and there it was! So weird. He's such a tough kid though, I guess he could've gotten it from Elizabeth, or in nursery, or running into something. Poor guy. Here's the best picture I could get of it and him holding still, and don't you love the scratches on his face from Elizabeth?!

3 month milestone

>> Thursday, September 22, 2011

The morning of Annie's 3 month birthday she hit a milestone...she swatted and then got a hold of her toy!!!! I think she was aiming for the zebra, it's her favorite toy to talk to (I promise, we do talk to her too!)...she just happened to get the snail instead. But don't worry, the next picture in my camera is of her getting the zebra's leg, it was just too blurry to post. Annie also loves to kick things too, or just lay there with her legs straight up in the air! She is a strong baby!!

Our last hurrah...

This was our first and last trip to the spray park for the summer, here is the fun we had:
This boy was so sweet and pushed the twins for us, Elizabeth was terrified and clinging to Daddy, Daddy was getting nauseous and MarkMark....LOVED IT!!!!
Sideways in the swing, haven't done that one before!
And finally they made their way to the spray pad!
I was laughing at how it was the end of summer and every kid there was so white! Such a lame summer this year!!
And here's a video of the twins going Godzilla on the castles that Daddy would lay down for them! Once again, they love the sand box and could've played here all day if we didn't force them to go play in the water!

Discoveries

We discovered that Mark and Elizabeth now love eating cereal:
And they have found out just how cool pockets are, poor Elizabeth didn't have pockets on her pants and was a bit upset!

The leaves are changing...

>> Sunday, September 18, 2011

Since our summer was so short (about 2 weeks in the 80's) I have never been so sad to see the leaves falling and the trees changing colors:( Nevertheless we had to go and rake up some leaves and the twins had a blast!! Mark is the most uninhibited person I know. He is not afraid of anything. I raked up the leaves and then he put them in the bucket to do this:
I had to pre check the pile for worms, slugs and dog poop before allowing him to do it! It's a good thing cause he forgot to close his mouth and in the following picture he is spitting out a bunch of leaves!
Oh to be a kid!!!!! It's the best thing about being a parent, we can join in on the fun and be kids all over again!
