Sleepy time

Freshly bathed + warm fire= one sleepy boy!! I'm so thankful for this sweet, shy, smart, sensitive little guy!

Parker's blessing day

We blessed our sweet little baby on January 2nd at the same house we've blessed all our babies, Bleazard's family home! We are so happy that we could carry this tradition on for all our kids and that Marjean is always so gracious and helpful about it! Mark had been out there earlier in the day with Mark, Elizabeth and Annie playing. Parker hung out with Aunt Karrie and family while I searched the mall with my parents for white pants! Somehow I've misplaced all of little Mark's blessing outfit. But that's ok. Parker got a handsome new tie from Aunt Karrie (or Grandma T?) and we love it! Parker and I drove out to the house and on the way he talked to me from the backseat almost the whole way! 15 minutes of talking!! He must have been happy to be driving out for the first time to the place where his Daddy grew up, or he was happy to have me all to himself. It was beautiful outside as the sunset and I'm so happy I got that time with just him. It reminded me of when we got married and drove together from my sisters to the temple together. Just 20 minutes of peace and quiet and excitement!

We kept it super simple and low key on purpose. I just wanted to ENJOY the whole experience and take it all in. Both set of grandparents, Uncle Matt and family (except Micah who was at a wrestling tournament), Aunt Angela (minus Jake who was working) and Bishop Stock. We did it right in the living room and it was wonderful!! He was quiet and sleeping the whole blessing. We are so thankful to have this happy, sweet boy in our family! We love him so much!!
Annie fell asleep right before the blessing!
The best family picture we could get:)

Day 1

How many blog posts have that title today?! I'm not sure exactly what my goals are for this year. We've been through the worst December and are still trying to recover from it. I really need to blog about it soon so I don't forget. Once I recover I'll make some detailed goals. But I want to take more pictures and write more and focus on gratitude. So starting today, I wanted to post this picture to remember that even though he's not feeling well, Mark is reading bedtime stories just like the awesome dad that he is!
