Mark and Elizabeth are 5!

Today we celebrated Mark and Elizabeth's 5th birthday!!! We have had a great few days and today was another nice day. For some reason this birthday I feel a lot of different emotions. I feel relieved that we have survived (literally since they were preemies and all), that we made it through some very physically demanding years and that they are really fantastic kids!
Little Mark is funny, clever, smart, silly, runs fast, jumps on the furniture all the time, loves to play with Transformers and superheroes and Elizabeth is usually his number one play mate. He often enjoys playing by himself though. I plan to interview them and post some of their responses on here. For a child who dislikes change, he has done pretty well the past year with the arrival of Parker. He really, really loves him and when Mark is in a bad mood, Parker can almost always make him smile. We just love our little Mark so much!!!
Elizabeth is always talking! She loves to play!! Whether it's pretend play, games or arts and crafts she just loves to play. And read. And is great at playing with both Mark and Annie. She is smart and helpful and a great student. Her teacher said she is just perfect and always listening. She is still really shy and loves to play with princesses, palace pets, and dress up. We love our Elizabeth so much and I appreciate her excitement and leadership in our home. She has a beautiful smile and loves to laugh and help with Parker. We love her so much!!!
5 years ago we were at the hospital feeling excited, scared, nervous, tired and happy. I would say that tonight as I get ready for bed that I still feel all of those things about my twins! But I'm excited for what the next year brings and for all that they will learn.
