Glimpse into our weekend

>> Saturday, October 8, 2011

This weekend has been so much fun!!!! We have all been having a blast over here celebrating Thanksgiving at Matt's house. I don't have time to indulge you with all the pics and details but here are just a few from today.

This morning, while Elizabeth and I were sleeping in, Annie was out here with Mark and Daddy touching both her toes!!!!!!!!! She did it again tonight, what a smart girl...and a trooper too. She got very little sleep today, partied really hard and then when we got home tonight she was still all giggles and laughs!
Elizabeth tried out Smarties for the first time today....and guess what? She LOVED them!!! Not shocking at all, who doesn't love them?! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!
And our Little MarkMark made a new friend today. They played with the ball a lot!
We'll be posting more when we return!

Bicycle rides!!!

>> Tuesday, October 4, 2011

The other day Mark was cleaning out the garage and took out his bike. The kids LOVED, LOVED, LOVED, going on rides around the block with Daddy!!!!! He got a good work out in!
MarkMark will say bike (whenever anyone rides by on one, baby einstein videos taught him that one, how about that?! ) and loves to play with the wheels and Elizabeth came over and started to sing wheels on the bus!

Good Morning World!

A new look

>> Monday, October 3, 2011

This boy's got a new look:
Yup, we decided to cut his hair short again and he looks just as handsome as ever! We didn't cut Elizabeth's but we did decide to 'fro' it out and here is the result!
Even if Elizabeth would leave her hood (or hat, or hairbow) on her head...her brother would refuse to keep it on there! Look at this sequence of photos:

Happy Fall Everyone!

The kids were so excited when we brought home pumpkins and put them on the front porch!
It is so fun decorating for fall and soooo hard to stop! By the way...do you love how I left the plastic on the straw bails?! The kids would've torn those things up in a matter of minutes!!! Maybe in a year...or 5 we'll take them off!

Corn and play dough anyone?!

2 things these kids currently love: Corn on the cob
They will pick off every little piece!
Here they are playing with their play dough:

Annie and her book

Annie seems to love books as much as her brother and sister! Here is her serious 'I'm about to get my read on' face!
Reading about colors:
Posin'
Then she got a kiss from Mark Mark who left behind a chunk of Goldfish on her hair!!!
She is also starting to rotate herself when on her tummy or on her back, she's getting so big!!

Car fun with cousins!

Last week our cousins came to visit and all the kids LOVED playing outside with the cars and the sidewalk chalk. Poor Jena was trying to play hop scotch but Little Mark kept stealing her rock or pushing her around (it turned into a funny game). She hopped in the cars and the kids took turns pushing each other around!
Jena is 5 and all legs!!
Elizabeth hair is getting so long!
We love it when they come to visit!!!! Thanks for making the drive up guys!

Annie's new stuff

I have been looking everywhere for a blanket for Annie that is just like the ones that the twins LOVE and got from my Great Aunt. I was having no luck, so I called up my talented mother in law and asked her if she would be able to help me (by help I mean, do...because I've never sewn with satin, my machine was broke and I have negative spare time these days!). She graciously agreed and not only sewed the blanket but also fixed my machine!!!! She's awesome!! I had the purple fabric on hand for the top and now she has one that is exactly like the twins! Here is Annie checking out her blanket for the first time:
It also looks great in her room that is slowly coming together. With the help of my sister Meagan I was able to finish her letter and then put Mark to work at hanging things up....finally getting things on walls feels so amazing!!
Here is a close up of our hard work! Annie is going to have a great time staring at all the different colors and patterns!!
