Random fun

Here is a list of random things we have been up to lately:
Mark and Elizabeth are still obsessed with emptying their dresser drawers, luckily it's usually only the bottom two but they can now kind of reach the 3rd one. This particular day they were emptying out pants and throwing them in the air like crazy and laughing...what do ya do? Take a picture, that's what I did!
On one of their outings with Daddy I just happened to look out the window to catch them sitting like this and Little Mark was putting bark and sticks in the hood of Elizabeth's coat! It was hilarious!
Daddy and Elizabeth playing peek a boo:
It took these two a surprisingly long time to figure out that cupboards in the kitchen hold new and fun things! It could be because I don't spend much time in there, hahaha!!! At any rate, they have been having a blast exploring!
Our cousins came to visit again and they have lots of fun playing together. It's getting more and more fun to watch the twins with Kayla who is 2 weeks older than them. Kayla teaches them all kinds of new skills, she taught Mark some more climbing techniques! Here are the 3 of them sucking down smoothies:
And all of the girls plus Mark playing together. Shay the 3 yr old (the one in the blue shirt) got so frustrated and yelled 'there are too many babies in my way!!' It still makes me laugh!
One of Mark's new toys that he found his exploration of the kitchen is this wooden spoon and he takes it with him everywhere! He has only hit Elizabeth with it once and every other surface he can find!
Elizabeth has been doing the 'where did it go?' thing for a while. We finally got a picture of it. She was throwing things behind the couch and doing this:
It sometimes sounds like she is actually saying where go? She does it all day long, especially in her high chair where it's not so funny..she will throw her food or cup on the floor and say it, it's still so cute! Yesterday she threw a toy across the room as hard as she could and said it, it makes me laugh every time!!

The Great Outdoors

I can't believe it has taken me this long to post about the twins most favorite thing in the world right now....being OUTSIDE!!!!! Ever since the end of March when Grandma and Grandpa B were here they have loved going outside. They know how to go and retrieve a lot of items now like a book or their bottle and the word they definitely know is shoes! Every day they bring me their shoes and go stand by the door, it's so cute, but sad if it's raining or if I'm exhausted and can't find the energy to take them out. It gives them another reason to love Daddy when he comes home from work because he usually immediately takes them out while I make dinner. It's a win win for all of us! They walk really well now but Elizabeth did take a tumble when she was first learning to walk outside (look below for pictures), in fact they can almost run! When they get excited about seeing something outside they will pick up the pace to a fast walk/awkward looking run! It is one of my favorite things to do with them because they are so fascinated by looking and touching everything. It makes them so happy too, which makes me happy!

So here is what happens when we get their shoes on, they literally fight with each other to get out the door, Elizabeth tries to open it with her pointer finger and we have to pick them up and move them just to get the door open!
This is Mark's FAVORITE place in the world! He loves sitting in the rocks and throwing them, licking them, picking at the huge ants, piling rocks in the drain pipe, collecting stuff in his bucket and pushing rocks through the lattice. Please excuse his runny nose, oops!
When he's not playing in the rocks he is at the playground area (luckily it is right outside our back door) picking through the bark and sticks and digging in the dirt. The other day it was so nice he stayed out with Daddy for an hour and a half! It was the most sun all 3 of us had gotten in a long time and probably the most he's gotten in his life!!
He also likes it when Daddy plays with him, he scoots his bum off of this and let's him catch him:
He always loves being thrown in the air:
And even when it's a bit wet out he will find a puddle to sit or jump in!
Elizabeth loves being outside too. She loves to push the stroller when we go for walks:
And here is a not so great picture of the scrape on her nose she got from falling on the pavement. It was my fault I guess...I was watching her really closely and she tripped, fell forward but it was in such slow motion that I figured she would catch herself with her hands, which she kind of did but the momentum must have been too much for her because she got her 1st pavement face burn...sorry sweetheart!
I will have to get some more pictures off the camera because she loves playing in the rocks and sticks and going down the slide. She will also sit on the riding dinosaur and just watch other kids play sometimes too. These two will scream and fight like crazy when it's time to come in!! I'm so glad we are finally getting some days that are rain free, or at least partially rain free!
