Saturdays.

>> Saturday, February 16, 2013

Who doesn't love Saturdays?!! This morning we went to the zoo to see the new lion cubs. The line was long but worth it! The kids absolutely LOVE going to the zoo and we have gone once a week, 3 weeks in a row now! They enjoy the animals....but what they really love is the CAROUSEL!!! And Zoomazium where they can go down the big slide.

This was a big moment in Annie's life today, we finally found something she is afraid of!! She REFUSED to sit on a horse, but would go with Daddy on one. She didn't cry through the ride, but didn't love it either.
Meanwhile the twins were in heaven!! Elizabeth was saying 'ride 'em cowgirl'
And Mark was busy looking at himself in the mirrors:)
We came home and cleaned up the garage, and met our soon to be new neighbors (we think) and Mark started on his next home project...installing shelves in our play room closet so that I can finally have some order to the madness up there!!

And before bed tonight Mark and Elizabeth realized one of the BEST things about having a twin....always someone to play catch with!!!!!!!

Spring Day!

>> Friday, February 15, 2013

Today on our way out the door to run errands the twins found these fake flowers, went running to the flower bed declaring it 'Spring Day'!!!! They kept saying, 'the flowers have bloomed'! They then proceeded to plant them. SO CUTE!! We really do have some tulips and daffodils sprouting up, so excited for spring!

Some other fun parts of our day include the twins being magicians with their magic wands, aka straws from Jamba Juice, Elizabeth thinking I'm 'Super Strong' because I could carry down 5 of her animals all at once by myself, Elizabeth asking me if my pedicure flip flops were water skis after months and months of Little Mark never saying yes or no ( he will just make sounds...hard to explain) he finally responds yes and no, the 2 girls will finally let me leave them in the play area at Fred Meyer (Mark still won't leave me and no Annie is not 2 yet, but they didn't ask me how old she was and I didn't tell them, heck she's probably the best kid in there!) and Annie has officially grown out of her size 4-4.5 shoes!!

Thanksgiving 2012

We got to go to a super fun Thanksgiving party at our friends The Case's house!! She made the cutest treats! We all had so much fun.

 Mark and his friend Porter:
We went to Pasco for the holiday. Elizabeth got her first real haircut!!!!!
 And Mark got one too:)
The kids ate no turkey dinner. They have never enjoyed the fixin's of a feast...except maybe the pie!! I don't know why they don't enjoy mashed potatoes or turkey!

We came home and went straight to work putting up our tree!!
The kids loved it and were so excited!!
And some funny videos to end with!!

New Years 2012!

We had a really fun New Years! We went to a local celebration and there was so much for the kids to see and do. We had lots and lots of fun!

First up was bouncy houses, then it was magician show...which was only fun for a few minutes, but still cool for them to play on the stage and see a 'real' magician!

We saw a juggling show! It was actually one of my old professors from college!! My favorite teacher of all time actually...and he remembered me!! I couldn't believe it! He said 'your that Canadian Mormon who gave me a Book of Mormon and invited me to the temple open house'..I still can't believe he remembered me since it was a good 10 years ago, yikes, I'm getting old!
There was a kid band who played some fun songs:
And what actually fascinated them the most was a group of 3 ladies who did a Celtic show of singing, dancing and playing several instruments. It was a fantastic show, very entertaining. It reminded me of what shows used to be like...artists who could really do it all!! There was also a really loud annoying band called Vocal Trash. We left during their show. Regardless of the quality, the kids were forming their own mosh pit in the front and it was hilarious!!

We went back to Matt's to party the night away!! Grandma T and Monica started playing Truth or Dare and Monica dared Grandma to do a Just Dance song...she isn't one to back down from a dare and it was so fun to see her dancing away!!
The kids conked out finally and we stayed up to celebrate, it was a really fun night!!
New Years Day meant that Mark could go gun shooting with a bunch of guys!!! It goes without saying that he had an awesome time!

Christmas Part 5 - Christmas Day!

We were just as excited as the kids to wake up Christmas morning!! First of all, we went in there and saw this beautiful sunrise!
Then of course they saw the train first thing and we so excited!!
 Along with this car thing:
We took a break to eat some chocolate and pancake in the oven:
Then we opened more gifts...I would say we spent most of the morning opening gifts. We took our time and it was a lot of fun, very relaxing!

 Annie loved the dolls!!

They had been asking for instruments FOREVER and were so excited to discover these in their stockings!!!!

Annie was pooped out after all the excitement and needed a minute on the floor with her bottle!
I would say the kids got super spoiled by both their grandparents this year!!! We had a great Christmas and are so thankful that we could spend it with family!!
