Happy Birthday Mark and Elizabeth

>> Friday, February 10, 2012

These two are 2 today. They had a fun day spending the morning at Jump Planet and then we all had dinner at Red Robin. The Big Party is in the morning. We will have a pancake pajama party with all their friends. Here are some pictures from Red Robin where Mark ate everything and then downed the Sunday for dessert. Look at him go, but first Elizabeth.

Last day as 1

Today was Mark and Elizabeth's last day to enjoy being 1. We played a lot, went to Costco and hung out with Grandma and Grandpa B! I may have been tearing up at bed time in the following pictures...today is just one of those days I wish I could stop time for just a little bit longer.
The following two pictures are quite representative to what was happening 2 years ago. Elizabeth was happy as can be chilling out in my stomach:
However....Little Mark was not doing so well and needed to get out!!
I am so happy to be celebrating their birthdays tomorrow. I love these two so, so, so much!!

Happy Birthday Mark!!!

>> Wednesday, February 8, 2012

Today is Mark's birthday!!!! It has been a CRAZY week and we are about to get even crazier over the next few days...but it's all fun stuff, so that makes the crazy ok!!

Unfortunately Mark's birthday this year was not too exciting. He worked, came home to a home cooked meal and cake and then after the kids went to bed we went window shopping at Lowe's! All of those things (besides work) are fun and lucky for all of us the Pasta E Fagioli and Caramel Brownies I made for the first time today, turned out lovely!!! Can I just say that I tried to do more but these days I am always having to prioritize. Today I asked myself would Mark love a home cooked meal, cake and a semi clean house or streamers, balloons, and a wife with more makeup than just mascara on? Obviously food was at the top of the list, what person/man wouldn't want good food to eat?!! The twins are good at saying Happy Birthday, Annie laughed at Daddy during dinner and those things made his day.

This is the best picture I could get of the birthday boy and his kids:
Also, Little Mark decided to stick his finger in the flame of the candle, he didn't burn himself though! He says happy birthday so loud at the end of this video!
2 years ago we had to celebrate his birthday in the hospital since I was on bed rest with the twins. I had a friend bring in a cake but we weren't allowed to light candles! It was a memorable day and was also the last day we got to enjoy being pregnant and semi worry free. The next day is when Little Mark's heart rate dropped and I went to 24 hour monitoring and then delivered the next day! So in honor of Mark's birthday and the events that happened 2 years ago, I took today to just relax and play with the kids. And it was sooooooo nice. Much needed since the next few days we will be partying with friends and family!! We can't wait!
