Afternoon play

>> Sunday, April 15, 2012

One afternoon when Elizabeth was still napping Mark had fun hogging all the vehicles to himself. They, especially Mark, have become OBSESSED with playing with all kinds of cars, trucks and other vehicles. Just look at all the different ways he like to play with them:
Then he wanted to take pictures of Annie playing at her new favorite toy:
She has become an expert at pulling herself up on EVERYTHING!! She spends almost all her time practicing this skill and crawling of course.

April Fools Day

We spent April Fools Day replacing this not so cute hanging light:
To these 4 recessed lights!! It looks a million times better, is SO much brighter and it only took Mark a few hours to do with all 3 kids awake and playing inside!
I had was lucky enough to hold Annie while she snuggled in and held on tight to her lovey during nap time:
Then we hit up the PARK!!!!!!!! We hadn't been to this particular park since the fall and it was Annie's first time in a swing!
She LOVED it!!!
And so did Elizabeth:
Mark was napping in the car but eventually woke up to enjoy some time in the sandbox. It was a great start to April!!

End of March stuff

Ok now to get caught up with life.....

Since we planted some tulips and daffodils last fall (more like November) they have started to grow and we have been waiting FOREVER for them to finally bloom!!! Every day the kids and I check to see if any thing has happened but all we see is this:
I thought I would take advantage of our waiting time to introduce them to more types of flowers and their names. I found these on Oriental Trading:
And they both had fun playing with them!
The last Saturday of the month Mark and I went to our twin's group consignment sale and came home with some tricycles:
But they can't reach the pedals quite yet...and just got frustrated on them...so we put them away for a few months:) That night I had a girls night out and was in charge of bringing desserts. I have had my eye on a few cake mix recipes and tried out these three:
They were all DELICIOUS!!!!! Here are all three must try recipes: Double Chocolate Brownie Mix Cookies, German Chocolate Cake Bars, Grasshopper Mint Chocolate Cake Mix Cookies. The only tip I have is when working with cake mix cookies you have to drop them on the cookie sheet the size and shape you want them to be at the end of baking. For example if you want it the size of your palm, and flattened like a normal cookie you have to put it on that way because it will not flatten, drop or spread out much! I learned this the hard way:) That sums up March....now for April!!
