Here is what these two are up to at 11 months old:
Mark:
I don't know you're exact weight but based on some weights we got at the Dr.'s when you were sick (but fully clothed).... we'll be lucky if you hit 18 pounds by your 1st birthday!
You are a busy, busy kid! Always crawling, climbing, putting whatever you can find in your mouth, except when it comes to most 'baby' food, you're still not a big fan of it unless you can feed it to yourself. Gerber Puffs are still you're favorite although lately you like shredded chicken too. You can find the tiniest pieces of stuff off the floor and you almost never pause before putting it directly in your mouth. And then you seal your mouth shut so that we can't get in (at least not easily). You will also karate chop the spoon if we try to feed you something you don't like! We've tried to wean you off of your alimentum formula but you're just not happy when we do, you spit up after and have a bad stomach ache. So we'll just try again next month and hopefully you will outgrow it, just like you did your torticollis! You graduated today from physical therapy and we're so proud of you for sticking in there and becoming so strong! The therapist really, really worked you out hard at every session and you were a trooper.
You were a pretty big cuddler, especially with mommy when you were sick. I kinda miss my hugs but you still come over many times during the day to climb on me and hug for a few seconds. I love it. Elizabeth follows you around all day and you love it! You will crawl ahead, stop and make sure she's following and then keep going, it's really sweet! But, you also like your alone time too, when she's still asleep you will play and have a great time out here with me. You like to empty things out, crawl over, into and under everything, you like to bang things together, shake them, turn them around a hundred times, throw them and then chase after it...you will also stand up on everything! You are so proud of yourself for figuring out clapping and do it all the time. You still give a million kisses.
You have 7 teeth with the 8th coming any day now. You are not shy at all! You will crawl and climb on anyone and take anything they have. People love you and your eyes and they tell us all the time how smart you are. You also do a full arm wave all the time too. You are not as talkative as your sister but when you do talk it's for awhile and it's really funny and cute! You do talk/sing yourself to sleep though and I love listening to it, if you fall asleep in our arms though you will wake up an hour later crying, wondering where we are! We think you are the sweetest boy ever, we love you buddy!
Here is Mark during his 'without Elizabeth' play time. He sat in this bouncer (yes it's still out, they love climbing it and Mark loves making it bounce while he's standing in it. I spot him, don't worry!) for so long just playing with this phone. He's such a good boy!
Elizabeth:
I don't know your exact weight either but we are hopeful, especially with your current growth spurt, that you will be over 19 lbs by your 1st birthday!
You have such a beautiful smile and it is our favorite thing to see in the morning! You smile all day long and it just lights up the room! You are getting so good at walking from one piece of furniture to the next and lately you have even been pushing the learning table around! We have tried to get you to take some steps but you know that crawling will get you there faster so you haven't taken any steps yet. You have 4 teeth for now and you have been having fun with your 2 top ones, you went through a phase where you would make an sssss sound with your tongue and new teeth and you also grind them sometimes too! Your hair is getting longer and we love the curls you have showing at your crown.
You are a slow eater but not as picky as you used to be. Usually you like anything peach, especially Gerber puffs or yogurt. You also like bread and making a spitting sound as the spoon is heading towards you..it's your way of telling us you are done! You love to play with Mark and the two of you will follow each other around and sometimes chase each other, Mark almost always thinks you are 'getting' him! It's fun for us to watch you two. You dance to almost anything and are adding in new moves all the time, you love to dance when Grandma T skypes with you and sings to you. You are shy around new people and especially large groups of people. You will follow Mark though sometimes if he goes over somewhere, but mostly you just love to sit and play with your toy and watch.
Lately you have been going over to the books, sitting down with them and flipping through the pages, it's so cute! Both you and Mark LOVE books and story time. You can also do a dog sound (bark/roar), clap like crazy, sometimes you can moo like a cow and you always wave both arms in the air when you get excited. It still takes you much longer to settle down and go to sleep than it does your brother and you definitely cannot go to sleep if he is still awake or someone else is in the room. You still like to talk/sing yourself to sleep and I have a hard time not rocking you to sleep because I like to listen to you and let you snuggle in, it's so cute! We love you sweetheart!
Here is Elizabeth during play time at the window, it's one of her favorite things to do!
