Party time day 2!
>> Wednesday, June 12, 2013
This morning we went to another one of Annie's favorite spots....THE ZOO!!!!!!!!! We even managed to break a record and stay for 3.5 hours! Despite forgetting a stroller and going there for the first time with a kid who uses a potty, we had fun. We took our time, looked at a few animals, then we'd stop and take either a snack or play break.
While walking down a path the kids spotted a caterpillar and they probably spent more time watching that then any of the other animals! We saw another one on our way out and for some reason Annie decided to stomp on it, really hard! It came out of nowhere and Mark was a bit disturbed. He kept apologizing to the caterpillar and telling him that he was OK!!
The girls started a collection of leaves ( a bouquet as Elizabeth called it) to ' feed' the animals. While very thoughtful and adorable it did take us a reeeaaallllllyyyyy long time to walk out of the zoo since leaves are everywhere and there little hands kept dropping them:)
The girls crashed in the car and Mark crashed in the shopping cart at Fred Meyer! Another successful trip to the zoo!!
Mark is POTTY TRAINED!!!

Yes you read that right. And we are still in shock. Here's what happened:
Last Monday I set out to potty train ( once again) the twins. Well Annie wanted along for the ride so all 3 were in underwear. We had ZERO success the first day!! But we tried again the next day and by Wednesday the girls were done trying but MARK was going strong!!!! In fact, ever since that first day he has had NO pee accidents ( we are doing OK with number 2, but not perfect yet). He stays completely dry at night too. Every day Mark and I are just in awe that we finally have one child out of diapers...... just writing that makes me want to do a happy dance!!
As a reward for doing so well after a week we put up some new surprises in his room too. Way to go Mark, we are do proud of you for learning this new skill!!
Annie is turning 2!!!
On Monday our sweet Annie will be 2!! So to kick off her week long birthday celebration we did one of her FAVORITE things......SWIMMING!!!!!!!!
This girl is a natural in the pool. She swam around on her belly almost the whole time ( with daddy helping her along). The twins were equally excited, with Elizabeth letting out her happy squeals and screams for the first 3 minutes straight then just having the most fun doing everything. She loved pretending to be a seal. Mark loved chillin in the hot tub and playing with/ running through the 5 water geyser things.
Elizabeth was sad there wasn't any cake today:) They are understandibly having a hard time between birthday, birthday party and birthday week. We can't wait to continue celebrating the life of our beautiful little girl Annie!!!
