Water and Ice

>> Thursday, September 6, 2012

We got to use our slip n side twice this summer!!! It is exciting, even if hot here is 80 degrees. The kids all love playing on it:
And taking lots of drinks from it too:
 This girl LOVES water!!!!!
I had frozen a big chunk of food colored ice with lots of different plastic animals in it. The kids were all sooooooo excited about this!! We had our neighbor Aubrey over to help and yes, I gave them REAL tools to chip away at the ice!
Next time I will definitely omit the food coloring because the majority of the time Mark was eating the ice!!

Then Annie woke up from her nap and got in on it too!
Aubrey's Dad had a good idea to melt some of the ice to get the animals free:

The Rest of July

>> Wednesday, September 5, 2012

Here are the pictures that I have been able to upload (meaning, this is not all of them, but the majority of them?...Yes!)

Here is Little Mark one morning before church looking oh so handsome:
And Elizabeth helping me to bake one afternoon when the other 2 were still sleeping and it was just us!!
These three are obsessed with running around the area at Costco that has all the couches, and this day there happened to be a poor bear that was getting pummeled by the twins! We love going to Costco to get some energy out of all the kids and eat dinner at the Food Court!
We still have some dance party's after dinner now and then, but the majority of our time is spent outside so we haven't been doing them as much as we do in the winter. However....the kids still LOVE them!!! Annie was so happy this day because Mark wanted to hold her hands and dance with her!!
And then there's the sandbox. The kids adore that thing. I only curse it's existence occasionally! They get horribly dirty in it (especially Annie) but it keeps them entertained and happy and learning about all kinds of things. The kids have become interested in dinosaurs and so the next thing I will be buying (or making, haven't decided yet) is dinosaur bones to hide in the sand! They enjoy playing in the sand box every day.
See what I mean by dirty?!
Speaking of dirty Annie, she still insists most of the time on doing things by herself in regards to meal time. So this is what happens when she gets her own cup of milk that is EXACTLY like the twins, because heaven forbid she has anything different than what they do!!!
Look at what happens when I try to reach out and grab  the smoothie back from her at Costco:

The twins (especially Elizabeth) have gotten into pretend play more and in this clip she is pretending to be a Dragon Master (it's from an episode of Bubble Guppies where they learn how to teach a dog commands). She is also pretending to be a super waiter (again, an episode of Bubble Guppies where they learn about what happens in resteraunts):
Grandma and Grandpa B made it up for a short visit and we LOVE having them come over!!!! I kicked butt for the first time in a long time at International Rummy!!
And Grandma was having fun teaching the kids about what all kinds of animals do! It was so cute watching Annie get in on it too!
We also spent July going blueberry and raspberry picking! It was so fun and the kids were surprisingly efficient when it came to picking (and in Mark's case, eating) the fruit!! Of course they were most interested in the animals, but once taken away from them they loved picking fruit!
Mark in one of his rare attempts at helping to pick blueberries:
Because most of his time was spent like this!!!!!
We went with our neighbor friend Aubrey:
Annie couldn't stop eating the blueberries either:
And when I did take them away from her she threw herself on the ground in a massive temper tantrum!!!
Here we are on a different day picking beautiful raspberries:
Annie helped bring us new boxes:
When we went to pay the man asked Little Mark if he had tried any of the raspberries.....um, BUSTED!!! He had raspberry juice all over his face, hahaha!!!
