Ponytails!!

>> Thursday, December 8, 2011

Elizabeth woke up early from a nap the other day (which usually never happens) and I decided to give it another go with straightening her hair. It has been getting so long and I thought it would be fun. I worked harder at it this time and so it looked a little better. I then put it in a ponytail so that her and I could be 'matching'! She LOVED it!!

Here is a not very good shot of the front:
The pony that is a little messed up from the day:
And our matching ponytails!
Elizabeth likes getting her hair done, likes getting dressed in clothes that have something interesting on them like butterflies or pony's and gets really excited about anything new. It turns out that she's quite the shopping sidekick too! She loves going shopping with me. She will run her hands along the racks of clothes, say hi to all the sales ladies, I even showed her the inside of a fancy dressing room....there were lots of lights and a big mirror!! I hope she and Annie will love to shop like/with me!!

Annie laughs big time!

>> Wednesday, December 7, 2011

Well Mark was officially the first one to make Annie laugh without tickling her. And I mean laugh!!! I've gotten her to do a few giggles by making funny faces but he had her full on laughing hard!!!!! It was the highlight of our day. She has reflux still and when she refluxes it sits in her throat, causing her to have this junk in her throat a lot of the time. So in this video she had just finished eating a big bowl of oatmeal and so you can't hear her laughing as well. It's still super cute. And I didn't take the time to edit it so it's a few minutes long. Enjoy our after dinner entertainment!!

Cupcakes, Applesauce and Cinnamon

Lunch time has become quite enjoyable around here lately. I sit everyone up at their chairs, Annie in her bumbo and they make each other laugh! Today Annie was dropping a toy that would spin when it landed and it was making the twins laugh! Lately Elizabeth smiles SO BIG at Annie to get her to smile back at her, it's so cute!!!

They also learn and practice new words. This day they devoured their cupcakes:
And this day they learned applesauce and cinnamon! We pour the applesauce and then let them pour in the cinnamon, they LOVE it!
Elizabeth doesn't like the flash on the camera...can you tell?!

Thanksgiving 2011

We took almost no pictures for some reason this Thanksgiving. We traveled to Pasco and spent most of it with Mark's family. It was so great to see family!! The weekend went by fast and Little Mark did well the first day but then he seemed to have a rough time the rest of the weekend...we're not sure why. Grandma B spoiled them and got all 3 kids new pajamas (featured below:) and she is so great at coming up with really creative games and things for them to do. They loved playing with her mini tea set and putting in, taking out and eating Cheerios with it! They loved emptying some of the contents of her pantry too, and making a mess while doing it!

We got a lot done over the weekend. Lots of shopping online and in some stores, played international rummy where for the first time ever I (Emily) won!!!!!!!! Mark went to dinner with his Dad, we visited with Matt and family where Annie got lots and lots of love and the twins got lots of attention and energy out playing with all their cousins, we ate a lot of Marjeans salsa, ate pie, I got my hair done (thanks Andrea!) and we enjoyed seeing the sunshine and having no traffic or bad weather to deal with over the Pass!!! Thanks again Ron, Marjean and Matt's family for everything!

Bedtime stories for everyone in new pj's!

Bye Bye Kayla

It's been 2.5 weeks since we had to say goodbye to Jake's family...and the cousins Kayla, Shay and Jena. We miss them so bad but at least we know they are being enjoyed by lots of other family and cousins! I think Kayla knew it was her last night with Mark and Elizabeth. She followed them around and wanted to stay in the room during bedtime stories! They are all so cute together and the kids are going to miss the way that Shay and Jena made them laugh and chased them around! I was literally crying when I had to say goodbye to Angela!! She is so amazing and I don't know what we would've done without her here before, during and after we had Annie. She (and her girls) were my angels during that time and we are so thankful to them!!!!!! The only pictures we took were of the kids jumping on our air mattress as we tried to blow it up!
