All I want for Christmas

>> Saturday, October 22, 2011

Is books, books and more books!!!!!! I'm pretty sure that's what they would say to me if they understood that part of Christmas. And how can I resist building them their own little library? I mean look at them:
Time to add some books to there list! Anybody have faves to reccomend?

Happy Birthday Dad!!!!!

>> Friday, October 21, 2011

I'm a day late, sorry....but HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD!!!!!! Thanks for all you do for me and my family. Thanks for making all that money so that the kids can get spoiled by Grandma, hahaha!!! But seriously. Thank you. I don't think I say it enough.

I hope you had a great day, when we skyped Mom this morning the kids were asking for Grandpa before she even came on!! We love you Papa!!!!!!!!!!!

Annie and her bumbo

This girl LOVES her bumbo!!! She likes to be able to sit up and look around at what everyone is doing. It's her favorite place to twin watch. And chew on toys.

These are all from this morning. Look at that face. I mean come on!! So seriously cute, sucking on lip and all!!!
Here is a profile, aka: the cheek shot:
I love how her hair is getting longer and there are no major bald spots yet....
I also love how she smiles at one simple phrase....peek a boo!
And when the toys fail her or she knocks them off she goes to her trusty tray and chews the snot out of it!!

I hope this isn't goodbye....

We really, really LOVE this park by our new house. And I really, really hope we can get to it again soon....but I don't know if we will, this could be our last hurrah at the park until spring! We went on Wednesday and had it all to ourselves!! That was a first. We had to start at the swings:
Just a side note before we continue...Elizabeth has become somewhat opinionated about what she will and will not wear. This day she picked out her coat and shoes. I had to hide her silver church shoes because she will always pick those if they are out! Mark was also very excited about wearing a hat. He has seen them in books and I sport one a little more frequently than I probably should...he felt pretty cool and I was just happy he kept it on!

Ok, here is the spray park all turned off and ready to be explored:
And one cute, smiley, awesome, bundled up baby!
We made our way over to the ball diamonds and they had fun playing with the fence:
Mostly finding pebbles and putting it through the holes (or in Mark's case, his mouth, seriously it happens daily..I'm not sure why he insists on eating dirt and rocks every time we are outside!!)
Then we spotted the dump trucks way off in the distance moving dirt around:
And a good 50 climbs up and down the bleachers and they were DONE! Love how the park tires them out, I'm going to miss that!

The Pumpkin Farm!

>> Thursday, October 20, 2011

I took a look at the weather yesterday morning and it said that it would be the last sunny day we have for awhile so I convinced Mark to leave work early so that we could hit up The Farm at Swan's Trail!!! By the time we got there though the sun had already gone:( But it was ok because that also meant that not very many people were there either! We had SO MUCH FUN!!!!!! I should've brought our nicer camera, instead we have some not very clear pics to share:( I'm tempted to go back again though, we didn't have to pay for anything since not many people were there, but we also missed out on a few fun things too.

Here they are on the tractor:
And just for fun....this was them one year ago!
Giant pumpkins
This donkey was hilarious! We walked away from it to look at the pig and it started making noise, I forgot how loud they can be! The kids thought it was awesome!!
Hangin' with my Annie
And all my girls
These guys had lots of fun playing in the hay and jumping off the bails into Daddy's arms! Elizabeth was so funny and would not jump, just lean and smile until Mark swooped her off...meanwhile, MarkMark would jump as far as he could for Daddy to catch him!!
Throwing hay!
Now for the best part of the day....the corn pit!! These two had a lot of fun in here, heck we all had a lot of fun! It took Annie and I about 2 minutes to decide that we wanted in too! Here is MarkMark playing:
Then inspecting:
Then trying to put it in his ear (also his mouth and hair)...I am still finding corn around the house!
Then he tried to do a 'corn angel' because that's what the other kids were doing!!
Elizabeth preferred to stay close to Daddy, these two look a lot alike in this picture:
Even Annie got in to play (kind of, sort of)...see that little smile forming on her face?!
Daddy and his girls:
Our family in the corn pit, now if that isn't some fall fun I don't know what is!!

Ponytails and Polish

>> Tuesday, October 18, 2011

Elizabeth's hair is getting longer! Those curls are starting to actually hang down a little bit in the back instead of clinging to her scalp. So naturally I tried to stuff it all in a ponytail....and she tried to pull it out:
When I told her to turn around so I could take a picture of her pony tail, she looked at me confused...then all of a sudden it's like a light bulb went off and she started turning in circles! She thought turn around meant spin! Duh mom!! So then you get a lot of these kind of pictures:
Until I finally held her still for a minute. Now you can really see the pony tail/curl ball!
While we are playing with hair....Mark has gotten into my bathroom cupboard and is doing this:
He's become OBSESSED with lining things up (more on this at a later post). Naturally, eventually, I had to show them what nail polish did...but I picked the most boyish color I had!
Elizabeth was curious but would allow me to only do one toe and then she would try to shake it off (she doesn't like to be 'dirty')!!

4 Months

>> Monday, October 17, 2011

Annie is 4 months old today!!!!!!! She is still such an awesome baby! We head to the Dr. tomorrow for her check up so I'll post her stats and updates then. In the mean time...here are some pictures of our sweet Annie today after bath time:
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this face!!!!!!!!

Aunt Meagan

At 6'ish months pregnant Meagan came for a long visit!!!!! We were all really excited. She spoiled the kids and got lots of cuddles in with Annie!
Jake came to visit and somehow Meagan ended up taking all 5 kids to the park by herself! Here are some of the pictures she took.

These 3 are going to be bffs!
Sisters!
Goofballs!
We miss you Aunt Meagan (aka Meg)!!!!!!!
