Ok, ready, set, GO!!!!! I have a lot to blog about and VERY little time to do it, so here is a short bit of what we have been up to.
Colored water in the bath tub! Notice Mark is the only one still in there, Elizabeth can't decide if she likes it or not. She does at first but then asks to get out!
Building forts and having snacks on a rainy morning:
Slide time with Daddy!
She likes to stand up by herself at the end:
COUSINS!!!!!!! Annie (and the twins) have been SPOILED like CRAZY with their cousins here this week! Look at Shay and Jena helping Annie walk along (her fav thing) and giving her lots of hugs after (forgive the blurry pics, I am only blogging about what I have on my cell phone:)!
Aunt Angela went to get Annie from her nap and was rewarded with some MAJOR cuddles!!!!
Be still my heart. Oh how we love this girl.
And last but not least but certainly the BIGGEST change around here is that Mark and Elizabeth are sleeping in beds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, really their cribs with one rail off and a toddler rail attached. A couple days ago at nap time I went to go upstairs to check on the twins and when I opened the door Mark was sitting on the floor reading books!! I couldn't believe it! Then I put him back in his crib, went to check again and he was not only out of his crib but out of his room too and at the top of the stairs!! I was SHOCKED!! So after trying all that I could he did not have a nap that day and that night Daddy fixed up their beds to look like this:
This is Elizabeth saying 'Excited!'. She was far more excited than Mark was, he just wanted his blankey and to climb on Daddy's lap for cuddles, songs and books! I got them all psyched up with 'new' blankets for their 'new' beds. Really they are blankets that Grandma B gave them when they were born and we have been patiently waiting for this day when they had their own beds to use them on. They sure felt special having those blankets and they are SO cute!!
The first two days have been horrible trying to get them to nap and stay in their beds and room. I ended up taking them for a drive to get them to sleep and then putting them in their beds. Nightime and mornings are no problem, they will stay in there but nap times have been awful......until today when they BOTH went to sleep within 15 minutes and didn't get out once!!!!!! I sure hope this is them adjusting. We will see. Mark has sure been enjoying a couple naps on our bed too:
We are off to spend time with more family this weekend and to celebrate ANNIE'S 1ST BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!! (and Father's Day:).
